About the Paducah Singers
Paducah Singers is a professional choral ensemble that strives to present exquisite choral music at the highest possible level, meant to inspire, soothe, and unite. We are comprised of accomplished musicians from the tri-state area of Western Kentucky, Southern Illinois, and Northwest Tennessee. Led by Dr. Susan Davenport, former Director of Choral Activities at Southern Illinois University, our singers have significant training, with many holding one or more degrees in music. While some lead careers outside of music, many are professional musicians who teach in regional schools and universities, work for community arts organizations, and lead church music programs.
Wishing to engage with many segments of our community, Paducah Singers enjoys performing in a variety of noteworthy and historic spaces in the region.
As part of our mission is nurturing young singers and developing future audiences, our Choral Scholars Program allows highly motivated high school students to rehearse together and perform at a Paducah Singers concert. This results in a collaborative experience in which they sing alongside the adults from the choir.
